Why Choir?

​

There is nothing that forms the heart like when you participate in a choir.   ​The art of singing breathes emotion into music that brings notes on a page to life.  

 

Connection between singer and music, musician and conductor, performer and audience is what beckons my heart in this work.  I aim to bring feeling and experience on to the youth of our community in hopes of changing their life.  

​

It is my hope the our youth walk away from this choir every night feeling empowered.  Feeling confident.  Feeling joy.  Feeling awe of their amazing talent that is immensely transformed when they unite their voices with others who feel, act, and sing with the same energy and strive for excellence.

I yearn to make something fun, something bright and cheerful, something inspiring, something beautiful in a time where similar beauty is hard to find.
